Hey Loves! I’m so excited to share with you a little secret that is proving to help me grow my nails. This is NOT the best solution, nor is it for everyone, but I think it’s the solution for me right now. The glue does remove the top layer of your nails but nothing a little filing won’t fix right up. Definitely not as harsh as the full sets I’ve gotten in the past. I’ve had a nail biting habit for, pretty much my entire life…I finally kicked the habit (for the most part) a few years ago. Yes, FINALLY! Even now I don’t pick or bite my nails like I did before. I used to use a GROSS tasting polish to stop biting when my habit tried to creep back up on me….
…but lately I’m opting for false nails. 1) Because they are pretty, 2) Because after the JANKY full set I got for the Think Like A Man Premiere my nails had that ugly dent that is taking forever to grow out. I recently watched Claire Marshall’s or Hey Claire’s video on how she stopped biting her nails. I thought it was a great idea and a great way to grow out nails stylishly. I’ve gone through one box of nails already. It was the Kiss Everlasting French in the Real Short length. You can see them clearly in my Easy Summer Updo video. The box of 28 nails in 14 sizes was less than $7.00, so if you do the math that’s less than $3.00 for professional looking nails. Granted you can’t use ALL of the nails in the box due to the range of sizes, but that’s still about $3.50 per set. Can you tell I’m on a budget right now? LOL!
They last for about a week. One or two might pop of depending on how much you pick at them (I pick A LOT, smh) and how much manual work you do. Here are some shots from the 2nd box I bought. Kiss 100 Full Cover Nails in Short Square. I got these because the white strip on the other set was annoying. I wanted to paint my nails and be creative!
It might look like they are about to fall off, but trust me they are secure. The curve of the nails won’t always match up to your nails perfectly. After trying a bright yellow I decided I wanted a color a bit more toned down. I grabbed this deep liliac-y color and finished them off! Polish dries so fast on this nails AND the polish lasts longer too. I NEVER need a top coat but they shine like I’ve applied one.

My nails have already grown tremendously. I still apply coconut oil to my cuticles as often as I can. I think I’ll paint my next set white…or some other bright color.
