I was on a mission to get to church early this morning! Last night I decided that since I didn’t get my 45 minute step aerobics session done that I needed to do Yoga in the morning. The studio I go to (got that $30 for 20 class Groupon-BOOP) only holds morning classes on the weekends so church at 8:45am was my only option if I wanted to get to my 11:15am Slow Flow on the Wall class!
8:45am it was (I was 10 minutes late :-/) and when I got back I felt cute enough to break out the T3i! Not with the 18-55mm lens tho. With that good ol’ 50mm..BAM! LOL! I take great pride in getting dressed for church. I have a mother who was raised in the country down South and it’s just a simple requirement to get dress in your Sunday’s best for church each morning. “Show God you care and dress up to go praise him on Sunday at church”….I might be paraphrasing, but I promise I hear those words every Sunday. Along with “Is your cleavage hanging out?” and “That dress is too short, go change”.
Today I broke out a dress that I haven’t worn since I went to NYC to see Oprah during her LifeClass Tour with Deepak Chopra. I threw on the statement necklace and a ring, some bangles and my colorful wedges. I was sure I’d be fine with just that but ohhh was I wrong! I walked outside and walked straight back in to grab my umbrella and my FAVORITE rain coat of all time. It was a thrifting find from a place in Royal Oak, MI for $40. My mother was in town that weekend and when I saw it I just knew I had to get her to buy it for me! Yes, I feel as though she as my parent is obligated to pay for things when we are out shopping. Yes, I am 29. LOL!
It’s a little snug in the bust area, but in my opinion just snug enough. It’s seriously my favorite clothing piece….thrifted clothing piece anyway.
After I snapped these pics I ran off to Yoga which was challenging but I felt super accomplished by getting so much done so early. I was able to do some grocery shopping and rest before the work week begins! Lots to do, and now I feel like I’ve got my mind RIGHT! Have an awesome week everyone!
